Apart from the band´s compositional and technical skills another important quality is the personal bond between all four musicians. Everybody knows each other for years and everybody else’s capabilities. PIET SIELCK (guitar/lead vocals), JOACHIM „PIESEL“ KÜSTNER (guitar/vocals), Yenz Leonhardt (bass/vocals) and THOMAS NACK (drums/percussion) complement each other in a very natural and inspiring way. 2007 the quartet has recorded their by now rhythmically most advanced album at Hamburg´s „Powerhouse Studio“. Song wise, highlight is followed by highlight. Be it the up-tempo opener „Running Riot“, the title track „Megatropolis“ or the extra-ordinary „Flash“. Iron Savior show with Megatropolis that they are still able to increase their skills and show themselves stronger than ever before… well, just press play and see for yourself!
IRON SAVIOR first attracted attention in 1996, when rumors claimed PIET SIELCK had an exciting new band featuring besides the mastermind himself, his long time friends Kai Hansen and Thomen Stauch. A few months later the self-titled debut hit the stores, convincing fans and media alike. An invitation to the Wacken Open Air and a successful tour followed. IRON SAVIOR recorded the successor Unification in late summer of 1999, which was released early 1999 and made it to the #79 mark in the German album charts. The same year the band went on tour with Grave Digger and also with Running Wild in early 2000. The rest of the year Sielck & Co. prepared for the production of the third longplayer Dark Assault , which came out January 2001 and was presented on yet more live shows. Only a year later CONDITION RED was released, one of the strongest and most homogeneous effort to date, which guaranteed enthusiastic reactions on 2002´s Bang Your Head-Festival and several more concerts. The fifth studio album Battering Ram followed musically the Iron Savior tradition of no frills in-your-face heavy metal with extra-terrestrial song writing, hooks to catch sharks with and ripping guitars and it was the album where longtime band friend Yenz Leonhard joint Iron Savior on bass. Once more the album was followed by several live shows and festival appearances that showed the band in it´s strongest line-up ever. During a 3 years break Piet worked with Thomen Stauch again, this time on his solo effort SAVAGE CIRCUS , whose debut DreamlandManor reached a great attention from media and fans. But the Iron Savior is back - the time is right for Megatropolis now!
